GENERAL

1. During the reporting period the Coy were employed as follows:-

1 -3 Oct Stand-down (Peter Badcoe Club)
4 - 6 Oct Nui Dat
7 - 10 Oct OP ARAWA
11 - 13 Oct Nui Dat
14 - 39 Oct OP ROSS

'G' MATTERS

2. On 7 Oct V Coy complete, together with:-
1 x Sect 6 RAR/NZ Mor Sect
1 x Tp B Sqn 3 Armed Regt
1 x Sect B Sqn 3 Cav Regt
D &E Pl HQ 1 ATF

deployed into the Courtenay Rubber Estate area. V Coy were extracted on 10 Oct 69.

3. During OP ARAWA there was no contact with VC. Two recently vacated bunker systems were located and destroyed.

4. On 12 Oct 1 PL V Coy were deployed as a protection for 1 Fd Sqn Engrs rebuilding a bridge required for route into FSB Discovery.

5. On 14 Oct the remainder of V Coy joined 1 PL and moved into the Southern area of AO LINTON.

6. During this Op V Coy were involved in six contacts with the enemy and located six enemy camp sites. Results were: -

7. On 30 Oct V Coy were extracted in readiness to occupy the HORSESHOE Posn on 2 Nov 69.

8. Saigon Guard. From 2 - 16 Oct V Coy Supplied Saigon Guard.

13. Visits.: The Band paid a visit on 28 Oct 69.

14. Padre.: It should be noted that even though there is a NZ Parde attached to 6 RAR/NZ, this Coy has not been visited in the field by a padre since the first week in September.

15. The stores referred to in last months report have been returned to V Coy.
