' MATTERS
2.
On 1 Aug V Coy were redeployed, as part of OP MUNDINGBURRA, into
the HOI MAI, LONG PHOUC HAI area.
3. On 2 Aug V Coy detonated an M26 Grenade and
a 60mm Mortar resulting in1 NZ KIA and 5 NZ WIA.
4. The main tasks on this OP were pacification
and local village defence with the following recovered:-

On 26 Aug the Coy deployed by APC on OP TEKAPO into AO NGAPUHI in
the Courney rubber. There were a few enemy sightings with no results
although fourteen transient rubber tappers were detained and 300
sheets of corrugated iron were recovered.
6. On the 29th Aug the Coy deployed by chopper
on OP BURNHAM into the FIRESTONE and BRIMSTONE trail area as protection
for US Land Clearing teams.

7.
Discipline. During the reporting period there have been 3 OC's Orders
and 2 CO's. Two soldiers were given detention.

Visits. Whilst in VUNG TAU the Coy received a visit from
